When clinicaltrials.gov first launched in 2000, there were 1,255 registered studies. By the end of 2018, there were 293,372 in the website’s repository1. This trend isn’t going away anytime soon; since 2015, there has been an average of 28,000 new studies per year. This growth has created an interesting clinical trials landscape throughout the cities of the United States.
For the first time ever, TrialJourneyTM, a powerful and dynamic platform that aims to help patients find, choose, and rate their clinical trial experiences, has transformed the national clinical trial database into a user-friendly interface. The formulation of TrialJourney has also revealed trends related to clinical research that span the entire nation.
"TrialJourney's proprietary transformation of the clinicaltrials.gov dataset allows us to deliver powerful and meaningful insights into the realities of clinical research across the United States," Dr. Irfan Khan, CEO of Circuit Clinical said. "The first step to improving access to clinical research as a care option is to understand the lay of the land - this project of open information sharing is designed to help move us all forward."
