I signed up to be a participant for the Pfizer Covid vaccine trial in August. I was very excited to be a part of this trial as I am a Pediatrician and I am very passionate about vaccines. When the FDA approved the vaccine for emergency use, I called PMG on 12/16/2020 to inquire about whether I had received the vaccine or not. I was told that I would receive a call back to let me know if I had received the placebo and to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine. I never heard back from anyone, so I called on 12/22/2020. I was told I would be called back that day which I was. I was informed that I did receive the placebo and would not be able to get my vaccine until the first of January because the PMG office was closing for the Christmas holiday (12/23/2020-1/3/2021. I told the person that I am very anxious to get the vaccine and all of my partners are getting it on 12/23/2020 through our employer. I was informed that if I received the vaccine from my employer, I could no longer be in the study. I am very upset and disappointed that I was willing to participate in this study and yet as a healthcare provider, I am having to wait to receive this vaccine. I would have thought I would have been prioritized, especially since I see Covid patients everyday. Clearly, the research team does not care about the trial participants or retaining the participants in the study.

Enjoyed the experience; however, in losing and conversion from placebo to study vaccine has been unorganized with various participants receiving conflicting information.
